Metrea Selected to Enhance Australia’s Border Surveillance Capability

Metrea is delighted to announce it has been selected to provide advanced aerial surveillance services to the Australian Government. Under the agreement, Metrea will partner with the Department of Home Affairs and Australian Border Force to deliver enhanced surveillance capability in support of the critical task of safeguarding Australia’s borders.
This contract award underscores the confidence government partners place in Metrea’s proven capabilities. Over the past decade, Metrea has conducted more than 170,000 hours of crewed Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) operations across Europe, the United States, Africa and Asia, demonstrating consistent performance in complex, high-tempo environments.
Metrea is committed to building on its existing presence in Australia and is advancing plans to scale its local operations to enable sustained, sovereign delivery. This expansion will support regional employment and foster long-term capability sharing.
